Talks on defense agreement between America and Bangladesh in Dhaka

Dhaka (Best Hindu News): Bangladesh will hold talks with the US on a defense deal on Wednesday. This defense dialogue between the two countries is part of various levels of interaction between the US and Bangladesh. The meeting is expected to discuss how Bangladesh can contribute to the Indo-Pacific region. Apart from this, the defense agreement between Jisomiya and Aksa can also be discussed.
According to sources, Brigadier General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, Director General, Operations and Planning Division, Armed Forces Department (AFD), will lead the 10th Defense Dialogue with the US from the Bangladesh side. The US is led by Brigadier General Thomas J. James will do.
The meeting will discuss regional and global security, cooperation between the military forces of the two countries, defense equipment, disaster management, peacekeeping, training etc. The ninth meeting of the Dhaka-Washington bilateral defense dialogue, which began in 2012, was held in the US in mid-May last year.
