Tel Aviv (Best Hindu News): Thousands of people took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday for the 32nd week in a row to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform. The organizers of the protest told that more than 12 rallies were taken out across the country. However, Prime Minister Netanyahu has promised changes in judicial reform.
In the area of Tel Aviv where government buildings are located, the traffic again exceeded the limit. The Jerusalem Post reported that three Palestinians were detained for illegally entering Israel.
Protesters warned that the national economy would grind to a halt if the right-wing government presses ahead with its controversial plan to limit judges’ ability to overturn government decisions they consider unfair.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid joined Saturday’s protest demanding Netanyahu’s government to comply with the law. He was seen walking with the crowd on Kaplan Street during the demonstration.
