The acronym SECURE was coined by the Prime Minister at the 2018 SCO summit and stands for Security, Economy and Trade, Connectivity, Unity, Respect for Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity and Environment. Invitation to Turkmenistan as the Guest of the Chair

What is SCO?

The SCO is primarily a geopolitical and security organization with an emphasis on efforts to advance economic integration. The group countries control about a third of the world’s land and export trillions of dollars annually. SCO is seen as an eastern grouping against NATO. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established on 26 April 1996 during a meeting in the city of Shanghai, China.
