Union Minister along with Prime Minister Shahbaz will not take salary

Islamabad; circle organization: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has refused to take the salary he receives as Prime Minister. Eighteen days ago, President Asif Ali Zardari would have taken the decision not to take the salary. Only the President and Prime Minister or other Union Ministers of Pakistan after the decision have announced not to take salary.
The Pakistani Prime Minister’s salary is around two lakh rupees and the salary of the Head of State is around 8 lakh 46 thousand Pakistani rupees. Considering the economic condition of the country, everyone has decided not to take salary as mentioned above due to lack of economic management and national tax burden. Only sixty rupees (8 billion dollars) of pure and foreign currency are left for imports in one month. This is the amount of goods imported for about one and a half months. Currently the price of one dollar is 276 Pakistani rupees. According to another decision, red carpet will not be used in any government program in Pakistan henceforth. The red carpet will be rolled out only to welcome foreign guests.
