US defense chief promises to continue aid to Ukraine

The meeting of defense ministers from around the world came after it approved using USD 300 million of contract savings to finance a new package and remove weapons from the Pentagon’s stockpile.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin pledged on Tuesday that the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its war against Russia even as the US Congress remains deadlocked over funding to send additional weapons to the war.

Addressing more than 50 defense ministers from Europe and around the world gathered at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Austin said, America will not let Ukraine lose. He said, this alliance will not let Ukraine lose and the free world will not let Ukraine bow down.
