US Security Advisor will visit India next week to deepen bilateral relations

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will visit India next week where he will meet India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss the Indo-Pacific and technology cooperation besides taking the US-India relationship to the next level. Kwatra is also interacting with industry leaders to further bilateral cooperation in areas such as defense and technology. “Sullivan will be visiting Washington to deepen our bilateral relationship, exchange views on the Indo-Pacific and talk about next steps in technology cooperation,” a senior White House administration official said without announcing the date of his visit. And I believe that the United States and India are working together more closely than ever before, both in the Indo-Pacific and the Indian Ocean, and on key issues like technology.” He said, I would just say that I think the US India relations are moving in a largely positive direction and the level of our engagement has been excellent in every possible area – security, intelligence, technology, people-to-people relations.
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin had told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee that the Biden administration is starting a new chapter in US-India relations as part of their major defense partnership. Our forces are intensifying joint exercises, information-sharing and other operational activities to promote maritime security in the Indian Ocean, he said. Austin said, “By enhancing the capabilities of the Indian military, we can work together to maintain a more stable balance of power in the broader Indo-Pacific. We are committed to ensuring that the growing partnership between the United States and India supports the efforts of a wide range of our allies and partners, particularly the quadrilateral security dialogue between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States.
