WTO’s 13th ministerial conference concludes – Dainik Savera Times

After intensive deliberations, the conference yielded one plus ten practical achievements. The Abu Dhabi Ministerial Declaration was released at the conference. The members pledged to continue reforming the WTO by strengthening the multilateral trading system. In the conference, investment facility agreement for development was concluded and documents like ministerial decision on improving the dispute settlement system and e-commerce action plan etc. were passed. Apart from this, achievements were also made on issues like monitoring cooperation and small economies etc.

The conference increased the international community’s confidence in the multilateral trading system and raised strong hopes for liberalization and facilitation of global trade and investment. China will actively implement the achievements of the conference, deeply participate in the reform of the WTO, and safeguard the legitimate interests of comprehensive developing members, so as to share Chinese knowledge and Chinese solutions in improving international economic and trade rules and global economic governance.
