55 meter long tunnel found under Gaza’s largest hospital Al Shifa, video of foreign hostages also shared

Israel has stepped up its claims that Hamas militants use al-Shifa, the Gaza Strip’s largest hospital, as a base, saying a captured soldier was executed and two foreign hostages were being held at the site. . Israel said surveillance camera footage showed that Hamas militants used the hospital as terrorist infrastructure. In another video, Israel said its forces discovered a 55-meter-long tunnel 10 meters beneath the al-Shifa hospital complex during an intelligence-based operation. In X’s post the IDF said the discovery of the tunnel served as evidence of their claim that Hamas was using Gaza residents and hospital patients as human shields.

The World Health Organization (WHO) sent a team to al-Shifa hospital on Sunday to evacuate at least 30 premature babies before they were transferred to health facilities in Egypt, Hamas’ health ministry said. Meanwhile, over 250 patients with serious wounds and other urgent conditions reportedly remained stranded on the hospital premises. Hamas rejected Israel’s statement of finding a tunnel under Al-Shifa Hospital, calling it a pure lie.
