An Italian ice cream equipment production group participated in Hainan Expo for three consecutive years, headquartered in Bologna, Italy. The group established the Italian Gelato Museum in 2012, the first such museum in the world.
It is said that more than 20 ice cream making machines and equipment from different eras were collected in this museum. Through thousands of photographs, extensive historical texts, video materials and learning laboratories, visitors are introduced to the history, culture and craftsmanship of Italian handmade gelato. Every year more than 15 thousand people visit here.
Near the Gelato Museum is located the University of Ice Cream, which was established in the year 2003. Every year many people from all over the world go there to learn how to make ice cream. The group’s director for market development said China is a new market for gelato. Hainan Expo is a great platform for ordinary consumers to learn about gelato.
