Ottawa. A 24-year-old Indian youth was shot dead in his car in Vancouver, Canada. The young man went to Canada in 2022 to pursue higher education. Police gave this information on Sunday. The Vancouver Police Department said in a press release that officers were notified around 11 p.m. on April 12 after local residents heard gunshots.

Police said Chirag was found dead inside his car in Antil area. She said no arrests have been made in the case yet and the investigation is ongoing. Police said the incident took place on a route leading to the festival site in view of the Baisakhi festival.

At the same time, after receiving an e-mail in this regard from the Canadian Police, the family of deceased Chirag Antil took to the social media platform ‘X’ to appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister S. Appealing for justice to Jaishankar, he has appealed for help in bringing the body to India as soon as possible. Antil was a resident of Sonipat in Haryana. Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Tania Visintin said Antil’s body was found in a vehicle in the area around 11 p.m. Friday.
