International Seminar on the Concept of Exchange of Civilizations and Mutual Learning was successfully held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 15 April. Experts and scholars from different countries had an in-depth discussion on the main topic “exchange and mutual learning of civilizations and common aspirations of human beings”. The symposium was jointly hosted by the Chinese State Council Information Office, UNESCO and the National UNESCO Commission of China.

In his inaugural speech, Zhang Jianchun, Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said that Chinese President Xi Jinping first introduced the concept of exchange and mutual learning among civilizations during his visit to UNESCO headquarters in March 2014. Gave an important speech. In the 10 years that followed, the concept of exchange and mutual learning between civilizations was widely disseminated, providing Chinese intelligence and Chinese solutions to enhance the common interests of mankind.

UNESCO Deputy Director-General Chu Xing said in his speech that a true international social community cannot be established without mutual understanding, mutual recognition and mutual trust. All parties should establish mutual trust and jointly begin the history of peace.

More than 200 guests from more than 40 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the symposium.
