Nepal Aircraft Crash: An aircraft has crashed at Pokhara International Airport in Nepal. There were 72 people on this plane and so far 68 bodies have been recovered. Four Indians were also aboard the plane. ANC ATR 72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines crashed in Pokhara city of western Nepal. Bodies are being recovered from the accident site engulfed in flames. 167 people lost their lives in the plane crash that happened 30 years ago.

On September 28, 1992, Pakistan International Airlines Flight 268 crashed as it approached Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. All 167 people on board lost their lives due to the crash of this plane. Flight 268 was the deadliest crash in the history of Pakistan International Airlines as well as one of the worst plane crashes in Nepal. The flight originated from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan.

Most of the accidents are attributed to high hills and technical fault. From 1946 till date, more than 800 people have died in plane accidents in Nepal. On May 7, 1946, the first plane crash happened in Britain’s Royal Force and 14 soldiers lost their lives in it.
