Lahore. Five more newly elected independent MPs of Pakistan’s National Assembly on Monday decided to join former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s party PMN-L. Sharif is trying to form a coalition government after no party got majority in the recent elections. A day before this, an independent MP supported by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party had joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). A total of six independent MPs have joined PML-N.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif wrote on ‘X’ on Monday that Sardar Shamshir Mazari, MP from NA-189 seat, Imran Akram elected from PP-195, Sohail Khan elected from PP-240, Khizr Hussain Mazari, MP from PP-297. And Sahibzada Mohammad Ghazin Abbasi, member of the National Assembly from PP-249, met Nawaz Sharif.
Shahbaz wrote that all the members expressed confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and announced their decision to join PML(N). Shahbaz Sharif wrote, you have become a part of the caravan to make Pakistan better and provide relief to the people.
