The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the United Arab Emirates on 13 February. This visit of PM Modi is very special. He will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Temple prepared in Abu Dhabi. The inauguration of the BAPS temple is an “important part” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), during which he will also address the Indian community in the UAE at an event at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said this on Monday. Kwatra said in a media briefing that the inauguration program of the BAPS temple is one of the major parts of PM Modi’s UAE visit…As per the information available now, around 2000-5000 devotees are expected to visit the temple on that day.
On expectations of MoUs between the two countries, UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Jamal Alshali said that there are many MoUs that will be signed. The list has not been finalized because I think till the very specific minute when they exchange these MOUs, we will have the final list because we are trying to do as many of them as possible. What I can tell you is that there will be follow-up on what was discussed in the previous meeting and that meeting was also a follow-up on what was discussed earlier in the meeting.
In the last meeting they discussed new areas where the UAE and India can cooperate. For example aerospace, AI, education, what else can we do etc. We will come out of this trip with a long list of tasks and things that need progress on.
