What is Belarus’ proposal? America shocked by the planning of Putin, Kim and Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made the proposal when he met Putin in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, where the Russian leader said he would brief him on talks with Kim on Wednesday at the Vostochny space port in Russia’s Far East.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted a meeting with his Belarusian colleague on Friday. He suggested Minsk could join Moscow’s efforts to revive the old alliance with Pyongyang after this week’s summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made the proposal when he met Putin in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, where the Russian leader said he would brief him on talks with Kim on Wednesday at the Vostochny space port in Russia’s Far East.

“I would like to inform you about the discussion on the situation in the region, which was quite important, and would also like to touch on the most serious issue, the situation in Ukraine,” Putin said at the beginning of the meeting. Lukashenko responded by saying that we can think about three-way cooperation. He said that I think some work can be done there for Belarus also.

Kim continued his visit on Friday by visiting an aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur to see the latest Russian fighter jets. On Saturday he is scheduled to arrive in the Russian port of Vladivostok where he is expected to see warships of the Russian Pacific Fleet and visit a university. The US and its allies believe Kim would likely supply ammunition to Russia for use in Ukraine in exchange for receiving advanced weapons or technology from Moscow, a deal that would violate UN sanctions against Pyongyang that Bans any arms trade with North Korea.
